The Door Company provides a selection of paints, satins, and glazes for your projects. You can either choose from our standard color options or submit a sample for custom color matching, which incurs an additional fee.
Why don’t we display our colors on our website? Color variations can occur based on the wood species you choose, and they can also differ from one computer monitor to another, making it difficult to accurately represent the true color. Color samples are available for viewing in our showroom, or we’d be happy to mail one to you for comparison.
Sanding
All doors and drawer fronts will be sanded down to a final 220 grit through our sanding table. Edge profiles will be sanded by hand with a 180 grit to ensure shape is preserved while smoothing out any roughness. If a piece is being finished by us, we will putty all the joints and sand the face of the frame by hand with an orbital hand sander at 180 grit.
If we’re not handling the finishing process (paint or stain) for your order, you’ll be responsible for preparing the items for that step. However, we can provide your order in a “finish ready” state. If you’d like this service, please mention it when placing your order. Note that additional labor cost will apply.
